About The GO Fund
The Southern Berkshire Youth Association SBYA has announced the establishment of The GO Fund, a program designed to enable individual youth with limited resources to participate in experiences that enrich their passage to adulthood and strengthen their lives and the life of our community.
Recognizing the decline in state and federal funding for programs and initiatives as well as the financial burdens faced by families and young people, The GO Fund strives to fill the monetary gap by sharing funding for youth endeavors.
While The GO Fund will not finance any initiative in full, it will provide a cost-share opportunity for individuals.
The GO Fund grants will be distributed twice a year. Applications must be postmarked by October 31st or March 30th in order to be considered.
Criteria:
Youth applicants must be under 20 years old and live in the areas served by Berkshire Hills Regional School District and Southern Berkshire Regional School District.
- Applications must be completed and received before the deadlines in order to be considered.
- There must be contributions from other sources, i.e. parents, family and or applicant.
- This fund will not support programs that already have a financial aid system or similar process to assist youth. The fund will focus on unique needs and ventures within the community experiencing limited funding.
If you believe you qualify, and would like to apply download our application, or pick one up at Berkshire South Regional Community Center, Monument Mountain Regional High School, Monument Valley Regonal Middle School, Mount Everett Regional High School, Railroad Street Youth Project, or send a request via postal or electronic mail.
